Indiana Jones, Adventure Archaeologist, geeky professor, and smuggler for Jabba the Hutt -- oh wait, wrong movie -- is an instrumental force in getting artifacts away from the hands of the Nazi Party and into the hands of museum curators. He first appeared (portrayed by Harrison Ford) in the Steven Spielberg-George Lucas film, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981, and went on to star in two other films before a short retirement. His second adventure, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" had scenes of violence that led to the creation of the PG-13 rating. He returned, notably aged, in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." This film did not lead to any new rating system.
