Re: Post a picture of your pet!

Very sorry to hear that, Skimba. She and Leela are probably playing together right now.

I want you so bad

http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/samuse/iwantyousobad.jpg So...ten years ago to the day, I submitted my first drawing to this site. I've submitted a handful since then, and figured an anniversary is as good a time as any for another one. Sorry the above is kind of lame, but for a long time now, I...

Re: Post a picture of your pet!

Cats, you gotta bend to their will. Ain't no way other. Tiny Hobo was gone for the last couple of days, I figured someone said "Why don't you live inside here?" and she said, "Fine, where's the eats." She's very friendly and actually let me pick her up and rub her neck. Didn't sq...

They had a shorter version of that, which I loved. I downloaded it...somewhere.

Alas, everything is "somewhere."

Re: Post a picture of your pet!

http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/photo/cats/tinyhobo2.jpg This is not my pet. She's someone who just showed up, and I made the mistake of giving her some food. So now she's around almost all the time. She's gorgeous, very sweet natured, and extremely vocal. She pretty much never stops talking.

Well, be prepared. Leela is over 16 years old now, and like most teenagers, she spends most of her day moving from nap spot to nap spot, with occasional sneers and the odd demand that, why isn't there food now.

Re: A little help :)

Okay, the eye on screen left really started to bother me. So I've made a couple of changes. http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/other/bulldog6.jpg Since these changes were made on separate layers, I can easily go back to any of them. I can also provide both in BMP or TIFF files if needed.

Re: A little help :)

http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/other/bulldog5.jpg I brought back the tooth, smoothed out some of the jaggies and added a bit of the original screen left eye. I think this is about the best I can do--it's different from the original, and I think he looks tough but a bit friendly as well.

Re: A little help :)

Okay, I got rid of one fang and extended his lip a bit http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/other/bulldog2.jpg Then I changed his hat around. I added some eye shadows back, because he was starting to look too nice. http://beckoningchasm.com/graphics/other/bulldog3.jpg Maybe getting rid of the tooth wa...

Re: A little help :)

I'm not sure what else might be done--the bulldog image is kind of limited in how it can be used, since the face is so associated with "tough, formidable, not-to-be-messed-with" that changing it too much would turn it into a different animal. And what you want with a team icon is "tou...

Re: video clip

Well, I've been watching a bunch of the Nostalgia Critic, and he referenced He Man singing Hey yea yea yeah so I looked for that, then saw that someone had parodied the parody. The "Diggy Diggy Hole" was made by the parody folks, so I thought why not. All three of these have ten hour loopi...

Re: photography.

Not as such...it's a cheap 600-1000mm zoom lens, all the way out, and attached to a 3x teleconverter. Since the lens is manual, all the settings have to be done by hand. Combine that with the fact that the slightest motion means the moon is elsewhere when the shutter is pressed, and you have a royal...
