Re: BLURT thread

I was at the Metrodome last night, and right after the last out some guy ran out onto the field. He was tackled by security at 2nd base, and was accidentally pantsed in front of 40,000 people! I can't believe it's not on the internets yet. He may have gotten to second base, but it looks like he was...

Re: A whine and complain thread

Yeah, maybe you're stuck in a time loop. If you let us know what powerful mutants you might have offended, maybe a giant robot or two can disrupt the power grid long enough for you to escape.

Re: BLURT thread

SWEET. Thanks dude! It was a ton of fun! Yeah, the saccharine one was way over my head, and Antarctica was a "durr" moment when they got to the end. That round was weird since we couldn't read the clues, only listen to them, which I found made it a lot more challenging. That's curious that...

Ah, but you see, had you been a dick then the ice would have been broken. Now you're all setting a mature example or whatever, which makes some take pause with regards to their own potential dickishness in the same situation.

Re: BLURT thread

CANADIANS (or people with access to Canadian TV)!

Watch me on the Discovery Channel on Saturday, Aug 1st at 6:30 PM. I'm the one called "Brian".

That would be cool! I'm looking at you, Bink and Chrism. And other Canadians I've neglected in my offhand recollection (sorry).

Re: The Musical Stylings of Me

Sisqo is male! We've done three or four others, which have some Michael Jackson (before, well, you know), and a good portion of Justin Timberlake, We tend to prefer off-genre covers and alot of guy-driven popular music is rock music, which is just too normal to do an acoustic version of. So: Not exp...

The Musical Stylings of Me

Well, not really. The musical stylings of others as interpreted by me and Geebs. In public. On an open mic which otherwise has legitimate musicians. Huzzah! Excuse the audio quality, but hey, not bad for a consumer digital camera in the back of a bar. Some night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9-kY...

Re: BLURT thread

I agree with all of this! Most of the people I deal with keep to themselves about beliefs, which is probably why it irritates me more if someone prompts them to discuss it and then follows up with ridicule. Which, if I understand correctly, is not justified under the previous statements. (more or le...

Re: BLURT thread

As someone with a complicated relationship with religion, I find it pretty insulting when people are very quick to dismiss the religious beliefs of others. Can't we agree to let people just believe what they want to believe? I find in most cases one's religious beliefs don't influence their actions ...

Re: Random Thoughts

I think Clueless basically got it. My understanding is that the difference is context. Here's how I see it: The things we like that are bad for us are fat and sugar. But back when we were still evolving, the sources for sugar were fruits and veggies, and the sources of fat were meat. Each of those t...

Re: Spamuser Music Collaborative Telephone Thing Too.

-Does it need to be telephone style? Doing it transparently might lead to a track that's more listenable and enjoyable. Well, what kind of non-telephone way would you be thinking of? Having all the existing tracks when it's time to add the next one. When you're jammin' in a musical context, it's go...

Re: Spamuser Music Collaborative Telephone Thing Too.

I'd like to participate, with perhaps 2 suggestions based on last time: -I think we should set up some sort of semi-rigid timeline -Does it need to be telephone style? Doing it transparently might lead to a track that's more listenable and enjoyable. ed: I'd prefer rhythm guitar, but could do keys, ...

Re: Flash Game Thread . . .

I'm trying to build one of these electronically! Well, sorta. It definitely won't have the same visual appeal, though. How difficult is it? I might be interested in building one if it's not too too bad. That's a hard question to answer... the circuit is pretty simple, I guess, but it has alot of bi...
