Re: A whine and complain thread

It really doesn't matter at all, it just perplexes me. The kettle takes barely any time to boil. I just turn it on, put the granules (classy) in my mug, stand around for a few moments and it's done. Re: A whine and complain thread

a) There is someone at work who talks TOO LOUD and all the time , including narrating a lot of what he's doing that's of no relevance to anyone else, and verbally responding to emails. b) Often at work someone will put the kettle on, and I'll think "Oh yes, now would be a good time for a cup of...

Is it because it sounds like it's nearly an oxymoron? That's why I enjoy it.

Re: Video Game Stuff

In theory both Borderlands games were fine, but I found it very easy to lose interest in each of them. I had no real desire to progress through the story or the missions, and the pure pursuit of loot didn't really grab me.

IT'S VERY HILARIOUS THAT THE WORD "CAUSAL" AND "CASUAL" ARE SUCH SIMILAR ANAGRAMS. IT'S ALWAYS WORTH MAKING THIS JOKE THAT ISN'T DUMB.

Re: BLURT thread

I'm not entirely sure what the point is. Was it specifically to avoid the people who still hang around here? Perhaps I'd understand if I actually used Reddit. Or for people who spent more time on Reddit than Spamusement? Unless the Reddit software offers some pretty significant advantages over phpB...

Were this thread a sitcom, this would be its catchphrase. It would be said at the end of every episode by a character looking into the camera while shrugging his or her shoulders.

Are you sure it wouldn't be a hands-on-hips head-tilted-to-one-side affair?

Re: Video Game Stuff

I wouldn't let it bother you. You're right that it doesn't make much sense in relation to the highly crafted stories they're trying to tell, but it's so easily ignored, and it's not like the single-player is at all diminished for it. Also, this might be a decidedly unpleasant thing to say, but I'd s...
