Re: Funny links

You Will Select A Decision. The more you read of this, the more obvious it becomes that it's just a spoof. But it's pretty fun anyway.

Re: Movie log thread

Aside from that death. YOU KNOW the one. Why :( Two words, and they rhyme with "moss" and "Sweden". I ended up watching Pootie Tang on netflix, just because. It's pretty much a mess, but I can tell how it got somewhat of a cult following, because there are some great absurd gags...

Re: video clip

Sock Puppet Theatre has potential to become one of my favorite youtube channels - dramatizations of online arguments using sock puppets and well-known professional voice actors. I'm going to pick this one to link to because 1) there's also a censored version , and 2) if you dig far enough through t...

Re: Movie log thread

I watched Looper. Overall, I enjoyed it. I liked how underplayed all the "futurey" elements are. As in the setting and costuming are generally very present-day-looking, so you'll almost forget you're not watching a movie about the present, and then a 3-D billboard or hoverbike will show up...

Re: The [New] Music Thread

Bassnectar – Vava Voom. Yeah, I’m just not a big fan of that dubstep bass sound, which this album is full of. That said, I can appreciate that it’s being combined with other genres of electronic music in interesting ways, some creative things are being done in general, and there are some pretty “chi...

Re: The [New] Music Thread

Oh, speaking of Patti Smith: While I was Christmas shopping I noticed a bunch of her albums on sale, so I finally have a physical copy of Easter now. Other recent non-new musical acquirements would be Perfect Pitch Black by Cave In, Songs For Singles by Torche and PCP Torpedo/ANBRX by Agoraphobic No...

Re: Video Game Stuff

I recently bought the PS3 re-release of ICO and Shadow Of The Colossus. I only just started the former and I haven't felt immersed in a game like this in a while. I think it's kind of a combination of the atmosphere brought about by the scenery and the lack of overly "video gamey" elements...

Re: The [New] Music Thread

I'm really loving Patti Smith's Horses , in particular "Free Money" and "Gloria." I love Patti Smith! I have several of her albums (some are on vinyl :) ). Huh I was actually listening to this yesterday. I thought to myself, 'This reminds me of Throwing Muses, and I remember tha...

Re: The [New] Music Thread

I’m trying to catch up on the many 2012 musics I have missed, so I figured it’d be fun to start blatantly ripping off Evil Jekyll for a few posts while I'm at it. Some of this is stuff I've been meaning to check out for a while, some of it is various things people recommended me when I said I was do...

There's a somewhat older video out there with the same basic concept, which I initially thought you were linking to. Both are equally funny.

Re: Movie log thread

Attack The Block . This is a pretty fun sci-fi action spoof thing. Edgar Wright produced it and Nick Frost has a small part, and you can kind of tell why in both cases, since the humor is somewhat Shaun Of The Dead -esque. Maybe you should turn on the subtitles if you haven't had much exposure to S...

Re: Television

I've been watching and blogging about Eerie, Indiana , a show I remember fondly from my childhood (or preteenhood I guess). It actually dates pretty well for an early 90's kids' horror/sci-fi show, since it sort of has this streak of surreal, Adventures Of Pete And Pete -ish humor running through it.

unjoying I'm sorry, but I want to adopt your typo as some sort of smart-ass way of saying you disliked something ("Did you enjoy my homemade taco salad?" "Well, I un joyed it...") So, now the last movie I saw was Grizzly Man . It's a really weird feeling to be watching this beau...

Re: Movie log thread

So all October I was watching a horror movie every day (and consciously didn't clog up this thread with them). If you're bored enough, you can go all through my tumblr writings about those . In short I'd say Cube, Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil , and The Cabin In The Woods were a few of the movies I enjoy...

Asciivania. Like Castlevania, but with ascii and spelling! (Also, THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL IS BEAR)
