It sorta looks like "NYPEROLD", which is weird because he wasn't a forum member yet when stevenf drew that comic. Heck, there wasn't even a forum yet.

Well, he's been a bus driver, a chauffeur, a daredevil (motorcycle!), a mail carrier, a pilot, and a taxi driver (among other, less relevant jobs, although one figures he has to get to work somehow; maybe he flies?), so...
