A quick look at Wikipedia suggested it was but I've no idea what it has to do with it. Apparently Laverne was played by a woman and stuff so I have no idea.

You youngins! Back in my day, Nick at Night only showed black and white shows. No, we watched endless syndicated reruns of Laverne and Shirley on channel 4 instead. And cartoons were only on Saturday mornings or from 3-5 on weekdays and heaven help you if there was a baseball game!

I never watch Laverne & Shirley on Nick At Nite, but I got that reference.

I used to watch Dobie Gillas on Nick at Nite. And Patty Duke. Good stuff. Now they show Roseanne and Fresh Prince. Don't get me wrong, I love Fresh Prince, but on Nick at Nite? Sheesh.

Which does raise the question why Nick at Nite doesn't play old Nick shows. I mean, would you rather watch yet another Full House marathon, or would you rather go to bed watching:

Most of this thread went right over my head. I used to watch Mork and Mindy very occasionally. I looked up Nick at Night, too, because I wanted to know what everyone was on about.
