Given the state of things, this comic is probably supposed to be self-referential, at least I'd like to hope so. It's definitely good to know stevenf hasn't been killed during his wedding in a freak accident involving a vicar and, uh, some penguins or something.

"It's always a new animal" implies that it's never the same animal twice.

So what does "presently, it's been lobsters" mean? That you've been working your way through phylum Arthropoda and are currently on Palinuridae?

If so, that's not so random. Just so you know.

And are your zoological outbursts accompanied by any sort of educational vignettes? You should take advantage of the bewildered state of the listener and follow up your catchphrase with some sort of fun fact about the animal of the day, perhaps distribute cards with a picture on one side and some statistics on the reverse . . .
