Both browsers I have do it. It's my new laptop, so is there a chance something somewhere is not as up to date as it needs to be that would control something like this?

windows 7 64-bit? it has a few problems rendering flash sometimes....

go to adobe.com and try to locate the 64-bit flash player. there are two versions, activeX (for IE) and "the other version" (for everything else). install this and try it out, but this may or may not work for you.

also, even though it sucks, IE does sometimes work with flash even if other browsers do not. sometimes i have to use it to see flash movies if i *really* want to watch something that firefox has trouble with. most times i just decide it probably wasn't worth watching

I was curious about this and took a look. You have to hunt around a bit as it is still in beta, but you can find it on this "adobe labs" page.

I downloaded that and it stopped letting my see the videos at all or load a flash website such as the xbox live page, so I had to install the other one again. Oh well.

yeah, i run windows 7 64 bit ultimate and half the youtube videos only load in their own webpages on firefox. most videos work for me in IE but for some reason firefox + flash = S.O.L.

See, and I have better luck with Firefox, but still no video tools. I can hover over where the buttons should be and my cursor turns to the "you can click here" hand and the buttons work, I just can't see them, and I can't use the bar to pick to go to different parts of the video. In IE there are some videos that I can only get audio (like the fanfare one from this thread and any of the related ones I clicked.

I have three un-finished ones. Weird things like work, work, more work, working on weekends and sleep keep getting in the way...sometimes, without my consent, it's sleep at work for a few seconds which leads to a few more seconds of blinding fear that I may have made sleep noises. Oh yea, comics....someday.

Every once in a while, I check my own thread, and every once in a great while, I find one I can use after all. So that's good. I should do that after I look at the comics forum...
