Yeah, Spamusers is fine. I can't see any reason to object to StevenF wanting to keep the Spamusement url, it does have all his original content, after all.

How spamcartoons.com? Seems pretty direct and descriptive.

spamcomics.com? spamart.com? spamentertainment.com? spambition.com?

All of those sound like we're trying to rival the original. spamusers are how we've described ourselves for years, and makes it clear we are affiliated with the original. I don't like the sound of spammies, it sounds like sammies which is a really annoying way of saying sandwiches. Also it's just not as pleasing to say or as funny.

So I guess spamusers strikes the right balance, being as close as you can get to spamusement without actually being spamusement? Yeah, I'm OK with that. Although I do sorta like "spamtoons" ...

For those who are not members of this forum, doesn't "spamusers" sound like people who use spam, ie, some cabal of direct-marketing folks? I'm not really objecting, but would newcomers avoid such a thing?

We could always have a brief introduction at the top of the page mentioning where the name comes from, etc. Or some such. And besides, we do use spam, just not in the usual way.

Skills I could contribute: well, I have 2 eyes and some digits that let me take in visual information and provide feedback? I can also drool on command, though I do not see how that is useful.

well, we could always do something like "spamusing" but that's a little *more* like users of spam. hmm...

maybe we could try "spamazement"? if stevenF doesn't mind the direct rip-off that is...

spamphibians? I kind of like StevenF's idea of combining "spam" with another "am-" word.

I am simply presenting alternatives, John.

nobody will come join us who doesn't already get the reference. My vote hasn't changed, I like tradition sometimes, and there is no reason to change it.

Spamazement sounds like something being sold on QVC. Let's just go with spamusers.

I read 'cabal of direct' as 'cannibal'.

Yes, Spamusers.

Well, there are other types of website suffixes than "com" which could only add to the spamusement.com ethos. I think "spamusement.edu" would be really cool.

Some other alternate suggestions:

whereszombieprotestor.com
duskbringerthelostyears.com
morganfay.com
ponderthis.com
microsoft.com
starwars.com
nullisawesome.com

However it goes is fine with me, except for "spammies.com." --

Such a solution would be...unacceptable. I could not be associated with such, John. However, might I suggest wormholeweaponry.com?

Is Farscape part of your signature now? Not that it was a bad show or anything, quite the opposite.

Just to clear it up, there already is a skimba.com.
I am not affiliated with it in any way, as per their request (most likely).
