Login problems

Postby jvcc » Sat Mar 24, 2012 3:49 pm

I just moved and have a new internet (I don't know what the technical terms are; modem or router, maybe) and for some reason I have to login twice in order to be logged in properly, and it won't keep me logged in. :(

I had some girl scout cookies last night. Thin mints. They are gone now.

My computer won't sign in! I'm logged in on a different computer. But yah, I got rid of Chrome because it was being bad, and installed Firefox. And now, when I log in, I get returned to the login page. Frowny face.

I had to switch from Chrome as well... It was refusing to load, which was odd. You'd click the icon, and it would react as if it were opening, and then just fade back to "unclicked" and not do anything. Very odd. A few days straight if I used firefox to download Chrome again it would work, but on the third day I decided it wasn't meant to be since it wasn't a full-time fix.

I'm sure you've both thought of this, but you guys might want to consider running a Malwarebytes scan, or running AdwCleaner. There might be something lurking in the OS and these tools do a pretty good job of ferreting out bad stuff.

My laptop has a long history of issues with internet browsers. When I first got it I was told my machine was too advanced for IE or FF to support videos for it or some nonsense... it's always worked but always had little problems.
