Below are the things referred to:
First, a barrel. Duh. This forms the basis for most of the rest of it.
Second, the expression "(like shooting) fish in a barrel".
Third, "over a barrel".
Fourth, "barreling through".
Fifth, the foundations of the new Jerusalem as described in Revelation 21, specifically the 19th and 20th verses. Beryl is the 8th stone in the King James Version; I make no guarantees as to its position in other versions or even as to whether or not it's there.
