The only way to destroy that crappy computer is to cast it into the molten plastic from when it came!

...

Then take it out and put it in the landfill. :-/

Magnificent.
Ahh I remember getting a 1541 disk drive and thinking how awesome it was going to be to stop using my tape drive and screwdriver every time I wanted to load a game for half an hour - watching a screen full of flashing coloured bars while listening to European dance music tracks.

poopcakes, I almost remember what all that means. OPEN (Open a file) 1 (arbitrarily designating the file as #1), 8 (binary mode?), 15 (the floppy drive), "S:ASH NAZG" (file name): CLOSE 1 (close the file using the same number it was opened under). I think.

The only code I knew how to use on the C64 was: Load"*",8,1 . Except "Load" could also be shortened into L┐ but not really that symbol, it was "Shift" + "2" That and I always had fun playing around with the funky colours and symbols while on the main screen. Little Computer People was the BEST game ever, the 30 minute load time was so worth it :D

Then with the 1541 it only took 15 minutes.
