I think Stuart's is better by just a smidgen because it is less expected.

I'm not going to lie - I liked the second one better because the goofy germans made me laugh. They would have even if they had absolutely no connection to the spam subject line whatsoever. So really, my opinion is biased. Plus it was my subject line, and I got to chuckle over it when I saw it in my junkmail box.

Some of the guyz' eyes look sad. They must be poor lonely little things, and they are depressed by the sight of two people making out in front of them. O, guyz, how I understand ye.

Teblat's is good if only for the portrayal of die Kunden.

Truthfully, I didn't really get how Stuart's cartoon related to the subject line, which kinda killed the funny for me.

The marks above the letters represent eyes, which in my opinion, was an absolutely brilliant take on the subject line.

oooOOOH. Okay. I get it now, although it's still not funny to me (because of the thesis that a joke's not funny if it has to be explained (AKA Dilbert)).

Could anyone explain this one to me? It seems like the encoding is totally broken, so I can't tell what it says.

Yeah, that's not the original title. During course of various phpBB upgrades I guess it sees "foreign" characters and assumes they are from some sort of specific multi-byte character set and "converts" them to proper unicode without realizing they were in fact proper unicode to begin with (or maybe it's the other way around, I don't know) and thus we get garbage.

Basically everywhere in the title you see "ÃÂ" followed by a fourth character is actually supposed to be a single character. I've been doing some googling and it seems to be a very common problem (especially with phpBB) but I haven't run across any tables that could be used to "de-convert" what we've got here.

Edit: Aha! I wrote a simple double-conversion script and took some common characters and output it here. After doing a lookup of the four-character combos on this page I got the original title!

I'm going to go ahead and change it from "Arë yöu lööking to gët läid,guyz" to what it should be.

Ah, too bad. Now that I look closer, it does... WAIT A MINUTE! I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING!
On the reply page the proper title is shown! What the hell?

"Arë yöu lööking to gët läid,guyz"

Edit: lol, you edited it. I thought it was strange. Thanks, it's hilarious.
