Oh, so you think you're funny? If you've made your own Spamusement strip, post it here.

How to Post a Guest Strip

Think you're funnier than me? YEAH RIGHT LIKE THAT'S EVEN POSSIBLE

But if you've made your own Spamusement, you can post it here, if you want.

The trick is you need to find some web space to host your image. There are various options for this, some that are free and some that cost money. But basically, you need to find somewhere that will let you upload your image, because you can't do it here. Try this thread for some suggestions: http://spamusement.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5

Once you've uploaded the image, you need to figure out what the URL address is for the image. The URL is that http://blahblah nonsense. (Tip: View the image in your web browser, and copy the URL out of the address bar.)

Then, mosey on back over here, and post a topic in this forum. Please make sure you're in the Guest Strips forum.

In your message, insert text something like this:

[img]http://image_url[/img]

Of course, replace image_url with your image's actual URL.

Please don't post strips as replies to this message! Start your own thread for them.

Good luck!

But wait! There's more! You can incorporate other tags into your post so that your cartoon appears on the front page the way you want. To add a subtitle/caption, use the caption tag thusly:
Code: Select all
[caption]This is a Caption.[/caption]
becomes
This is a Caption.
Excellent usage of this tag includes not only captioning multiple images, but also cases when the original spam title is too long to fit in the thread title.

You can incorporate a URL with that as well.
Code: Select all
[captionwithurl=https://www.google.com/]This Caption Links To Google[/captionwithurl]
becomes
This Caption Links To Google

For examples of how these translate to front page appearance, take a look at Empty Can's Final Extravaganza to see the caption tag in action with multiple images, this one to see how a caption tag can help out when the thread title won't hold the entire subject line, and Dween's 50th for captionwithurl.
