Also read the "Did you know..." and "On this day...". The best part about it is that those look silly but are all technically true.

i found this one under the featured article, and sadly that was her given name....

Naturally, everything's back to normal today with those mixed up webcomics. But ...

While reading XKCD today, for some strange reason I noticed the little bit at the bottom about "Permanent link ... 405" and, even weirder, I seemed to remember that yesterday's was 403. Just to be sure I clicked "< PREV". Sure enough, 403. "NEXT >" Back to 405.

So I hand-edited the url to http://xkcd.com/404/

Then I got the joke. Duh, I'm so slow sometimes.

When I clicked Drac's links yesterday, I was trying to figure out what was wrong when I clicked QC. I was expecting something blunt and obvious like the comic ending or something. But because it just linked to another comic, I didn't get it until I went back and saw what I was clicking on. While I do like how those three got together to pull that prank, I don't like any of those comics, really. Dinosaur comics simply is not funny to me. Several comics aren't funny a lot, but are still enjoyable for the art style and expressions. So when a comic doesn't even have THAT, what the hell am I supposed to laugh at? And QC is just not my thing. It's like an ABC show. EVERY CHARACTER WANTS SEX IN EVERY COMIC. It's kinda sick. And xkcd is only okay. It's sometimes pretty funny, and the brooding/faux-philosophical bits don't bother me as much as most. I just don't get into it much. I notice I don't like a lot of good webcomics. Like Penny Arcade. It's good, but. . . it tends to be longer that necessary. But most I've read, I loved. It's like when they hit something funny, they nail it. But it's rare that something on there strikes me as funny.

Web comics can be stupid. Print comics can be even MORE stupid.

FRED BASSET.

I mean, I've occasionally chuckled at a Garfield, and smirked at a Ziggy or two.

But FRED BASSET MUST DIE

This year, RinkWorks announced that it was changing its name to Jijijjijijiiijij, with a logo created bearing this new name, and RinkChat being changed to JijijjijijiiijijChat. A Reader Poll question asked if people liked the new name, but no answers were given. Also, a small version of the monster from RinkWorks Graffiti's "I EET YOR HEAD" served as the background for chat, replacing the normal blankness.

The Homestar Runner Wiki had its content scrambled, in that all the words were in the right phrases, but not generally in the right order. Or at least, that's what it looked like to me.

I'm glad it wasn't just me who read that and became outraged.
Sigh.

Fred Basset. I've gone on about it before. It angers me.
I would dearly love to take the creator to court. For crimes against dogs and comics.

xkcd is funny for the alt text he puts in under the comic. i didn't notice it when i first started reading, but a lot of the alt text is what makes the joke(s)

As in dialogue. They kinda ramble sometimes. Maybe it'd be funnier if I were still keeping up with games regularly. But they just. Won't. Shut. Up. Of course, you can say the same about me. BUT HOW IS THAT RELEVANT?

I think I have a Fred Basset video somewhere. THERE WAS A TV SERIES.

It contained incredibly low quantities of funny, but at least it isn't smug like political cartoons are. A terrible half-joke and some moron saying something completely unoriginal. Value for misery!
