Well, darn. It's gone now from the main page, but it hasn't appeared on the archive yet. Hopefully it will appear shortly.

For those who missed it, it was the anniversary of the first laser, and the Google logo was all written out in colored laser beams bouncing off of mirrors.

Well, yeah, now it's a tribute to Walter Gropius, but two days ago it was the spiffier laser thing. These tributes are only up for the day they celebrate, after all.

I saw the laser logo at work. When I first saw it I thought it was a load of coloured string or something.

You should have saved the jpeg, because now it's back to it's normal self. It was the architecture one right? I liked it.
