Star Wars Weather

No, you can't use it to track weather conditions on the various locations in the Star Wars movies, but you can put in the names of a number of real-life cities and get their weather compared to those locations.

It's only displayed in Celsius, so if you're like me in that you're used to Fahrenheit, you'll need to convert it somehow. Also, I'm not sure how accurate the temperature is. I just checked it vs. weather.com, and that has it a couple of degrees warmer than the Star Wars weather thing.

It's getting Hoth in here, so let's put on all our clothes...

Oh, right. The link.

The forecast for my city: "Oh my. -3°C, Cloudy? It's like Hoth out there. Cold, ice, freezing desolation."

1 degrees is like Hoth? Good heavens, where is this person from, the Sahara? :P

Apparently Nouakchott, a city in the Sahara, is "Oh. 19°C, Clear? It's like Nabo oout there.Temperate, dry, and fairly pleasant."

Yeah, if it can't find it (or you leave the field blank), that's what it throws at you.

Also, today, the program compared my little 24 C (75 F) to Tatooine. So maybe it's more a case of exaggeration than him being necessarily cold in places that are merely cool. Because I'm guessing that if it did a more accurate comparison, places like Hoth and Tatooine would almost never come up.
