What is good file host

I need to host a file! It is some words for the benefit of another internet but apparently my choice of Mediafire was not a good choice. Does anyone know of a good file hosting site?

How big is it? Are you planning to upload more stuff in the future, or is this a one time thing? I could mirror it for you if the file isn't too large and the traffic not too high (though I have rather good server stats anyway).

They ain't large, it's about 10 Word files. Only one of them's more than a couple of pages long, and that's still probably under 10. But yeah, it should just be a one time thing. And traffic wise, I don't imagine there will be very much at all. Maybe like twenty people ever, if that.

Isn't there a way to host it with google docs or something? I vaguely recall something about google docs.

I don't know, I'm poking around Google Docs but it seems to be all about sharing files with specific people rather than hosting them for the whole internet to see. Is there a way to make them publicly available?

A google search on "document hosting" comes up with several choices, several of which state that they are free services. In fact I've seen lots of docs hosted on scribd, they seem reliable.

I made Google Docs work. I think. I assume. If peoples still complain, I'll switch it over to this scribd thing. Thank you all for the assistance!

That reminds me. Google Sites is an excellent place to host some stuff too (as long as you also make a little web page).

What is good file host? How file get hosted?

They need to do way instain servers that delete their files.

Try drop.io. It's what I use. You get to specify a name, say "ntwstuff" and the address would be drop.io/ntwstuff.

I second drop.io. It has a nice interface and some amount of type-specific file handling (videos can be streamed through a Flash player, for example).
