Yes, eventually. There was a lot of searching first to find the name of the record label, after which a search on that provided the rest of the information.
But I wouldn't have gotten a single thing without Daniel already getting that it was Fog, so thanks go to him.

I can't really remember anymore, but I think this may have been the origins of my interwebs name.

I believe it may be my turn now.

(Title and artist have been pixelated out. :P)
1. What is the name of this album?
2. And the artist?
3. The artist's real name?
4. What game did this artist provide the theme song for?

Let me know if it's too hard, I may have subconsciously copied James a bit. :P

What are we supposed to do with it? Identify an artist? Identify where the picture is set? What its source is?

Since I know I won, I will go ahead and issue my challenge.

A: Name the Band and Album that this is the cover art for.
B: This band has often been said to have heavy influences from another popular band, and indeed the lead guitarist of that band produced the band from answer A. Name the lead guitarist/producer.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but the last three were not really Google-able, merely trivia questions.
If you happened to know one trivia bit, then you could Google for the other answers.
But, as they were submitted, they don't really belong in this thread.
There. I said it. That aspect of this thread has bugged me for a while, but I'm Miss Crankypants today, apparently, so today was the day of the complaining.

No, I agree. I've tried to (in the past) make my questions google-able versus "you either know it or you don't". The key is to give just enough information so that it can be found, even if it's hard to get to.

Just saying that was my intention making the thread. Also, Chris should have the opportunity to ask a question, since he got a previous one right.

I tried to give clues! You know. The label relating to the previous image and whatnot. But on most others I'd have no idea where to start. LIKE THIS:

loofah wrote:Image Image

1.How are the two pictures above related?
2. What is the name of the gadget above?
3. Who invented it?
4. Name three significant contributions this person made (although you could likely name three dozen)

(My fiance would also like me to mention RSA, because he's an even bigger nerd than I am. :) )

But that's probably just because I'm too stupid to think of keywords related to the images. I only got that The Cat Came Back thing because I remembered it, but that Sugarloo thing of Nik's was solved through proper Googling. That one didn't have any pictures. Images things make things a whole lot more headache-inducing. But if I ever do another one I'll probably still include one.

I'll admit, it was a bit obscure, but if you looked at the text given in the picture, it said "Deutsche Bundesbank". If you googled that, you could visit their site, and see they deal in currency.

You could then google for pictures of german currency, or stay on the bundesbank website and click on the link given for images of currency.
http://www.bundesbank.de/bargeld/bargel ... gen.en.php
The second one down shows the picture of that same gadget. It says right there that it's Gauss, and lists the gadget.

Then you can google "gauss moon", and you'll find there was a crater named after him. And it's pretty easy to come up with other contributions - the guy was a genius.

so *phllllbt*. ;)

I could do that, or I could just wait until something I happen to know comes up.

Loofah, that's exactly what I'd have done. For some reason, I wasn't doing this when the question was asked. stupid me.

dang, the one day I don't check this thread, someone throws up a Secret of Mana reference. I love this game so dang much - I have the Nintendo Power promotional poster of that exact artwork up on my wall in my room. I also have the soundtrack.

You know, I came to that realization the night I posted this. I will try to come up with something a lot better. You can say that my post didn't count.

Answers:
A: Submersed - In Due Time
B: They were produced by Mark Tremonti, lead guitarist of Creed (well, when they existed) and now lead guitarist of Alter Bridge.

Let me think of a more suitable challenge.
