I thought it was mildly interesting, anyway. On the plus side, our cartooning fodder is in no danger of drying up. It's an unnatural renewable resource!

Also, let me go on record of predicting that the first computer program to pass a Turing test will probably be developed for the advertising industry. I'm not sure if I'm kidding or not.

I just opened a gmail account last week to use the google documents thing for a class project. I wonder how long it will take to start getting spam with it.

I actually get hardly any spam in my Gmail account. I've been a bit more careful with it than my previous addresses, but it's not like I don't give it to Amazon and the likes.

So yeah, I get rubbish from Amazon and whatnot, but I'm not sure that that really counts as spam. I only get a bit of all that 'herbal money from the king of Mozamantidepressants' stuff.

My yahoo account gets about 1000 messages a day. The only ones I ever read are invoices from my hosting company.

My gmail account has started to get spam. I have no idea how, I've never signed up for anything on it.

And Dusk, try a Pokemon emulator. I've been awake since three o'clock yesterday. It's five now, and I'm just starting to get tired now.

I haven't been playing Pokemon for 26 hours, but I've been playing it for a considerable amount of time. I've done all sorts of things today. I did some work, and some reading, and played internet for a while, and watched the Simpsons, and played Pokemon, then went to campus and failed to acheive anything and I played climbing wall and I wasn't very good at it and my muscles are tired.

I'm constantly impressed by the goodliness of Gmail's spam filters. I've received about 5000 spam messages since my last purge (Nov. 20), and about 20 of those have slipped past the filter. What's even better is that the rate of false positives -- non-spam messages marked as spam -- approaches zero.
