An interesting little sphere that anyone can draw on. Check the hall of fame. Have to do a little puzzle before you can draw, and you only get so much ink per hour that you can't spam.

I find this very confusing. Is it supposed to present me with some kind of envelope puzzle instead of letting me draw on it?

I think that's meant to be some sort of spam-protection thing. I don't know. It's that old game where you have to go over each line exactly once. IT'S NOT SO HARD.

I wrote some rubbish or other because I can't draw and I wanted to slightly detract from everybody else's fun.

That whole area of red and black beneath the white space is just rubbish. It's not a part of anything, at any zoom level. I'm going to use all my ink to white it out, little by little. You can already see the white patch from space, though it's not very large.
