we don't say "aboot." The american just stress the u a little more than we do, making in sound like "abowwwwwt," which is a clear mispronounciation, as it then has the same vowel sound with words like "crown" "Crowd" or "howl." Obviously you're wrong and I'm right. blah blah blah.

To me it kind of sounds half way between 'aboat' ('aboht') and 'about' ('abowt' (wait, is it more like 'abawt'?). It seems to vary between being more similar to one and the other.

It's pronounced the same way you would pronounce "a bout", as in a round of brawling

i just watched the link for the first time and he says aboat, undisputedly.
