CHOCOLATE RAIN
I didn't listen to it or watch the videos but based on what everyone else is saying about it, I'm assuming it's a rap about racism or something to that effect. And it's staring the goofy-looking guy who bears a slight resemblance to Steve Erkel from the picture in the opening post. I'm not feeling very well right now, a little under the weather, and yet here I am at work feeling like dookie and on the Spamusement board and reading this thing... hoping that my illness will wane.

Sorta.

Tay Zonday, the guy pictured, has an astoundingly good and deep singing voice, quite at odds with his appearance. In the song mentioned, he sings this catchy little tune he made up -- catchy in an ad jingle sort of way, which I think is what has lead to his odd popularity. In contrast to great singing voice and nice catchy little tune, the lyrics to the song are quite mundane, repetitive and a bit boring. Which I think also is part of his internet fame, because it gives people something to make fun of.

And yeah, the content of the lyrics is sorta kinda about racism, but I don't think most people actually pay attention to them that closely.

At least, that's my impression.
