Hello! I'm glad you appreciated the Create a Comic Project. I thought I'd drop in and start a "Make Your Own Comic" contest using an actual template I'll be using soon:



Let's see if you can make a comic more amusing than what my students have produced so far.

Weak. Fairly early on I discovered the font's kerning was atrocious, but I couldn't be bothered to go hunting for another one, so I tried to sort it out with manual kerning.

Well, I guess it depends. Are they smart students or dumbass students?

On second thought, that probably doesn't matter.

Anyway, maybe I'll think of something later.

James is docked eleventy points for using a hard-to-read font. Normally that's a plus for James, but not this time.

Anyways, it was just the three of us. What happened to all the other usual characters who participate in these things? Did you all get infected with the Lazy Virus or something?

PS -- "You're on acid" was kinda funny.

PPS -- Just wait until episode two where goth-boy's friend discovers a website called launchthenuclearmissiles.com. Laughs galore!

I'd help, but this is my brother's computer and I'd rather do all the drawing and saving images on my own computer. I do rather think he leaves tomorrow, though, so the opportunity will be there should I think of anything good. The odds of that are prety slim, but NEVER SAY DIE

Yep. I run the website and the real world project. I may expand and get some helpers later, but for now it's a one man project.

A good chunk of the students are quite intelligent. I had one 6 year old who could read and write at a 4th grade level, for example. Not all of them were "top of the class," though. Quite a few came from underfunded schools where the teachers were of poor quality (one student showed me an assignment written by her English teacher that featured numerous typos). The kids were all awesomely creative, regardless.

I find the "Super Sweet 16" reference amusing since a couple of the girls in the class watched that show. One even made a hand drawn comic about it. Even the show is as fake as the WWE, it's disturbing how many kids think it's real.
