i had a friend growing up whose family was mormon and he borrowed a couple of my conan the barbarian comic books to read and his dad made him give them back because they had scantily clad females in them  i guess this site is from the more liberal sect of mormonism...

There was a thread on another board which listed the top 10 worst company URLs. Make these into a single word for entertainment AND education--

Who Represents (find which agent represents which celebrity)

Pen Island (buy pens here)

Experts Exchange

Therapist Finder

Powergen Italia (an Italian company)

Mole Station Nunnery (a nunnery in New South Wales)

IP Anywhere (Computer software)

CummingFirst (Fiist Cumming Methodist church)

Speed of Art (Graphic designs)

Go Tahoe (travel company for Lake Tahoe)

I don't get the "IP Anywhere," though.

It was in the list, and is lamer than the others, but I think it's like that famous statesman, I.P. Freely.

I've heard of two of those before. I'm pretty sure Pen Island is a joke site, but as far as I can remember Mole Station Nunnery was a genuine oversight.

I guess it's tastefully done ... to the extent that Mormons doing this can be regarded by Mormons as tasteful.

Wait, what?

Pen Island is a joke; they're more subtle about it than you'd expect, but why would you set up a site for a legitimate business and then not have any way for people to actually order your product?

Also:
http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/tombofun.htm
(think about that last part of the url for a second).

A few years ago I had this car that had plush fabric seats....and *sigh* a friend burnt a hole in it; not on purpose. I was selling the car and I wanted to fill in the hole. There was a product selling on TV that would help, "Fabric something". It was coupled with the "Liquid Leather" product. Sooo, I typed in "liquid Leather" in the search engine and did not get what I was looking for until the next page.
Lesson learned.
The End.

I looked at that and was like, what the hell could "Tomb O' Fun" be at the national cemetery? I kinda ignored your parenthetical text.

I was trying to not explain the joke while still making sure no one looked at that and was like "Arlingt Once Metery? That doesn't even make sense!". I do love the idea of a Tomb O' Fun though; like some sort of tomb that opens up to reveal a place full of slides, ball pits, and arcade games where your kids can go play while you pay your respects to veterans.

Not sure I 100% buy his story because it sounds a little bit too naive, but a friend of mine claims when he was younger he had a search engine mishap while trying to learn more about Metallica's then-recent album, recorded live with a symphony orchestra. The name of that album? S And M.

Ah, I did get it before then. I feared thta Tomb O'Fun wasn't actually the funny part and I thought 'Tomb of Undotht M? Tom Bofun. htm?' After a while I gave up. There is no joke involving the .htm part.

I thought "tomb of un" was what it was MEANT to say, considering it's a page for tombs of the unknown.

PS: This is (even more) clearly a joke website once you get into their online store:
