I don't know how the hell the SMBC guy comes up with so many great comics but he does.

The SMBC Theater clips are usually ... boring, though

Yeah, I've never seen the point of those.

http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=1947#comic

Fiction: 'Your only experience is in boulder rolling? you'll have to start out at the bottom.'

Actual truth: 'Your only experience is in data entry? Nobody will ever hire you to do anything other than data entry.'

I was looking at such things as work experience and internships today. I found work experience at a newspaper in Perth, and thought that sounded pretty cool. The problem: To successfully apply for this journalism work experience, I have to have preexisting experience working in journalism. Does 'work experience' mean something else in Australia? Is it something you do when you are already experienced at the work? Eh, no, I know, it's not just Australia. Every 'trainee' role now requires the training to have already taken place, because they can ask for that now. To obtain a real job, I need some kind of industry-specific qualifications, to obtain those I need money, if I had money IT WOULD BE BECAUSE I HAD A JOB ugh. I'll wait for all the experienced people to die, then they'll have to train people up.

This isn't exactly a webcomic. What it is is someone has gotten together a bunch of artists and gotten them to each do an interpretation of an episode of Law & Order, based on the ep's one-line summary from the DirecTV program guide. It's titled "These are Their Stories".

I found it to be very spamusey, as it encompasses the whole "here is a one-line description, draw something" concept that we like so much. For example, A Lawyer is Secretly a Stripper.

Man I wish we could get some of those artists to join up here. That would be SO COOL.

I just read some Axecop for the first time and I must say, it is terrible.

It is the kinda terrible the way Charles Barkley says "terrible".

Ha! I'm not usually a fan of that comic but I greatly enjoyed that payoff.
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!
