A funny story about Somniphobia

I was having trouble with image uploads stalling out on Somniphobia, and I thought it had something to do with my code.

So I moved my code away, and replaced it with an actual *chan script. I gussied it up a bit and then.... still had trouble with image uploads stalling out.

Then I tried it in Firefox, and it worked fine. So, I think file uploads are somewhat jacked in Safari.

The moral of the story is, if you want, you can try the new, NEW Somniphobia.

Somniphobia is unique among my sites in that I have no qualms at all about just periodically bulldozing it and putting up something new without warning. I mean, it started out as an RSS reader.

It's also reserved in my brain as the "anything goes" site. I picked a vague domain name so that it could literally be anything. It's like the Dr. Who of web sites! Sort of!

Lastly, it is the secret but important part of my web psyche where no holds are barred -- there's not even a pretense of being intellectual in any way. Because who wants to be smart all the time. It's just totally dumb and hopefully some amount of fun.

She really needs users though, to get some momentum going. I'd love to see something new every time I load that page.

That shouldn't be hard to do. The only qualm I have is that it has to be loaded from your computer, rather than hotlinked. Just makes it a little tougher.
