It took me a couple of passes to realize you were talking about the London Underground and not television. ;)

On the other hand, I got a mental image of a couple sitting on a giant, flying toothpaste tube. My mind is a strange, strange place

*continues wading, lengthening an already-comically-long trail of disturbed syrup*

Eheh, I guess it is...

Well, I can't speak for the AOL part, so my experience might be likened to wading through a different viscous fluid.

We had a 7.2 earthquake yesterday. My father has me exausted, I'm sleep deprived and he just keeps bugging mom and I with little demands for his comfort regardless of how decidedly unpleasant mom and I feel. He is, among other small things, demanding either of us go to the supermarket and buy this and that: It's windy, the earthquakes keep on going, and he wants us to go to the supermarket to buy him some stupid stuff so he can be more comfortable, because, you know, he must be the only one in this house who couldn't sleep and who is afraid of dying crushed beneath our house, And OIH, I know when we return home with the stupid things they won't be what he wanted at all, noooo. I know he can't move on his own, I know I should be more understanding, but hell! I am so tired and he won't let me rest... I want to cry.

Fan! I'm glad you're ok! Well, alive anyway.

Sorry if this is insensitive, but, what's wrong with your dad? Is he disabled or something?
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!

Fan! I feel for your misfortune! Well, of course earthquake trouble is not really something I can relate to, but what I mean is that I think it would be better if you did not have the troubles. In fact I would go so far as to say that if I had any capability whatsoever to ease your troubles, I would take time out of my day to do so. And so I posted this. I HAVE DONE MY PART

I hate idiots on trains that listen to music without headphones VERY LOUDLY. If I can hear it over the music in my headphones then i'd hate to think how loud it must be to others in the carriage. :x

Thanks guys. My father is recovering from a broken leg caused by cancer - Yes, I'm that awful. I'm better now, I just need to get some sleep.

Fan, that doesn't make you a bad person. You are a human with needs, like anyone else. And in times when your basic needs aren't even being met, your body and brain will act out. Besides, it does sound like you are understanding, but everyone has their limits. You cannot give infinitely without people returning the favour, or else you will burn out. It sounds like you need a vacation. This is why we should all buy that huge-ass ship and go on a get-away-from-it-all trip! We can be pirates and loot and stuff.

Cheapster! I agree, repost plzkthx! That would be egg-salad. We can have a CheapAlert extravaganza day or something

 CHEAPALERT WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!

EDIT: Fanny, being stressed about things when you've just been through an earthquake and haven't had much sleep doesn't make you an awful person at all, just a human one. You still seem to be making an effort towards doing what you feel you should, which is what matters.
