It is funny for me, because "loca" means "Crazy woman", in spanish. So, Secure your loca, everyone!

Yes, the last thing anyone wants in a shootout is las locas being unsecured and...getting in the way, I guess? Actually, maybe that is what you would want, so that they could serve as a distraction while you sneak away to safety.

Oh, Ponder, glad to hear your mom is okay! I didn't read that part of your post at first.

Yeah recovery is going well. Still, it's a hard road ahead, they did cut open a shoulder, detached a major muscle, cut off some bone, put in a nice shiny titanium replacement, reattached muscle, and sewed her up.

Will she have a badass scar?

Glad to hear she is recovering, hopefully she's back to normal (or, better than normal considering they had to replace her shoulder) ASAP!

Ha ha, sorry for the misdirection, there. I was just thinking "woo good news goes in the happy thread". I shpuld go put a link in the other thread but it's a pain cross linking threads when I'm typing on the iPad.

Fun fact*: Spanish has no word for 'woman', but fourteen words for 'crazy woman'.

*probably not

Been talking online to this cute girl in England, who I will probably not get to see in person anytime soon, but we had a phone conversation today and that was pretty cool. We mutually agreed each other's accents were cute.

I am going to see Mike Watt tomorrow at the club I intern at - I didn't know you could get in for free if you work there (or intern there), but you can.

Also, I found happiness... Literally. Apparently, it's in Massachusetts and has it's own train stop:

I love me, I love me, and my love doesn't bore
Day by day, in every way, I love me more and more
I take me to a quiet place
I put my arms around my waist
If me gets fresh, I slap my face
I'm wild about myself!

...Sorry, that got that song stuck in my head. It's a really great song, though. :P

This is actually my go-to line whenever someone tells me that they love me. In unrelated news, I am single.

Tonight was a good night. I took part in a "hug-in" with my school's LGBT community for the Day of Silence, and also to at raise awareness of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and other prejudices since a gay student was attacked on the street we did it on a few years ago. I've also decided to come out to my mom the next time I see her, which will be before May, I think.

And to us, apparently, unless I missed it. Well good for you. If you're gay then I'm glad you didn't stay with that dude about a year back, and if you're bi then I guess we'll have to wait and see what the future brings :)

That's cool, it's good to keep your options open.
