Spamusers Fantasy World Cup

Postby MysticalDescent » Sat May 29, 2010 9:56 am

I thought I'd better give this a thread outside of the 'Random Thoughts' thread. Basically, you sign up to the following website and pick 11 players. Don't worry if you don't know anything about football, it's just a bit of fun and there is a button that randomly picks your players for you. I personally recommend 'Georgie Welcome' of the Honduras, mostly because he has an excellent name.

Once you've done that, you just need to visit the following page and try to join. The pin is 29963.

Spamusers League

So far, me, Enty, Jek and Chrism have all signed up. There's still 13 days for everyone to get involved, I urge you to do so FIRMLY.

Ah man, I could have taken Georgie Welcome. Well, I still could, but I'm not sure how he'd gel with my legion of Torreses.

South Africa have MacBeth Sibaya and Surprise Moriri. Two excellent names.

Looking at the teams, I reckon it'll be pretty close.

I tried to pick players I had heard of. i realized I haven't heard of that many midfielders or defenders.
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!

Oh wow, sorry. I had no idea, but I suppose almost every post I've made in the last few days has unintentionally had something like that in. Being a young idiot, I've no real idea of what to say here, but I'm sorry for the various posts.

In Czeching that the rest of my team are actually going to be showing up to the tournament, I notice that the Australian team appears to be almost entirely composed of midfielders.

3 goalkeepers, 4 defenders, 14 midfielders, 2 forwards. Bluh?

Oh yah, also the dude I picked ain't there. He must be the only midfielder in Australia to miss out, which makes me suspect that he's in prison.

What just happened here?
Did my punctuation make it seem like I was pissed off? I'm not.
I think it is a good name for an unplanned child. Were you thinking I was upset because my first child was unplanned?
I considered calling him HOLYSHIT, but school would have been hard.

I've made my team! I did it while I was drinking coffee!
Have at you, everyone!

This is true. We have no depth in other areas. Particularly our forwards.

Stop trying to bait me! WE'LL SORT THIS OUT ON THE FIELD.

Oh hang on, I thought there was a post in another thread where I wrote something like 'It's...so...late' and followed up with this I just assumed that was what it's about. I'm socially inept, so I may well have just got completely the wrong idea, sorry.

I actually picked Tim Cahill, one of Australia's trillions of midfielders. I reckon he's a good bet for a couple of goals from set pieces in the group stages.

In the interest of fairness I will call your attention to Drogba's injury... I know at least DB will need to replace him.

And some of the North Korean goalkeepers aren't actually goalkeepers!

Nobody pick anybody who plays for Chelsea. Chelsea players seem to be dropping out of the World Cup at an ever increasing rate.

Prediction for tomorrow: Gerrard is killed in a mighty car crash. Rooney's legs just fall off. He's walking around minding his own business and whoops, there they go. IT IS TRADITION

Ah man how can we keep up?

I was rather hoping that either my Safrican guy or my Mlexican guy would play in the opening game. Nope. I hope for crippling injuries to the other South African goalkeepers! No hard feelings of course.

And Mr. Cappello (Dusk I assume this is you), please play Shaun Wright-Phillips rather than Aaron Lennon. Glad we could come to an agreement.
