HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
Recommend me episodes. My favorite characters are Milhouse, Ralph, Barney, and Apu. And Lisa.
(Yeah, I know I'm late to the party. Years late. DEAL WITH IT.)

Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
You just reminded me that I have a Simpsons encyclopedia (or encyclopædia for those who like archaic letters) from the mid '90s, which is near the time that I stopped paying much attention to the show. Perhaps I shall attempt to find it and leaf through it for your benefit.
Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
I don't know what it's called, but if you like Ralph watch the episode where Lisa becomes his Valentine.
I've never actually seen the episode, so if someone knows which it is please let me know, but somewhere once described to me a scene in the Simpsons where someone climbs to the top of a mountain and cries, "I plant this flag in contempt of nature!"

I haven't really watched it in a while. The treehouse of horror episodes are usually good.

Woohoo!
The staff received an angry letter from a Vietnam veteran because of a flashback scene depicting the fatal shooting of a Vietnam soldier.
Hmm.

Wow. Really?
Wow.
My friend and I used to watch the x-files episode over and over. We had it on VHSsssss.
Also the one where homer has night terrors.
Of course, there's always this.

Watch the one where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse (Bart Sells His Soul - Season 7, Episode 4 )
And the treehouse where Homer sells his soul to the devil for a donut (Treehouse of Horror IV)
Hmmm... apparently I find soul related events to be hilarious.
And Dusk is right, the X-files one is a great one ( The Springfield Files - Season 8, Episode 10)

Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
Treehouse of Horror number V (season 6) is the best, since that's the one that has the Shining parody.
Homer: No TV and no beer make Homer something something.
Marge: Go crazy?
Homer: Don't mind if I do!
(The elevator opens up and blood comes pouring out around the Simpsons and Mr. Burns)
Mr. Burns: Hmm, that's odd. The blood usually gets off on the second floor.
Pretty much all of the best episodes are clustered into seasons 5-8.

Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
The best Simpsons episode of all time is indisputably 'You only move twice'.

Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
What's the one where Homer is trying to show some professional movers how to lift a box, and he says something along the lines of, "The trick is to bend in an upward, twisting fashion"? I love that line.

Is that also the spine-o-cylinder one? I agree with the 5-8 assessment, but I would open it up to 3-9.

Honestly kupo, you should watch from like season 2 onwards and THEN watch select episodes when you start to not enjoy the show anymore. The early seasons are all GOLD.
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!

Re: HEY GUYS! I FINALLY WATCHED THE SIMPSONS!
But serious, the best episode is when Homer's the head of the union.

My favorite ep has got to be "A Fish Called Selma" simply because it contains my favorite musical number.

That's a good one! Although my viewing of the show has been pretty random in recent years, I doubt that there are any episodes that suck.
