I'd prefer cards because it's much less of an issue when someone forgets to participate.

I'm in. I have no preference, although I wonder if it would be too much of an organizational challenge to have some people do cards and some do gifts. Obviously just cards people would exchange with another just cards person, and same with gifts.

I guess my query in and of itself suggests a preference. I do like gifts.

Sorry, guys, I had meant to step in and at least get us to exchange some cards but time got away from me.

So to try and make it up somewhat, I made a Spamusemas Card for everyone. Spamusemas Card 2013 (PDF). Also, here's 2012 (also a PDF).
