Telepic #39: Resolution dissolved

Postby EvilJekyll » Tue Jan 21, 2014 6:27 pm

Well this has been quite the adventure...

Might as well get on with it then.

I (EvilJekyll) started out with:
"I know my fiancee loves it, but this year's resolution is to get rid of some that junk in my trunk."

EsBe got rid of some excess baggage:

Chrism kept it classy:
"... and so it was with great pleasure that I hauled all of my mother's worldly possessions to the curb. Clearly her memoires were too trashy."

Null's memoires (memoir memories?) haunted him:

jvcc gave her eye witness account to some agents:
"A man with long hair, an attache case--both a little worse for wear--and pistol walks away from a beach house used to sell or give away souls and skulls, all under the watchful eyes of five giant cats."

You prepare to enter the Scary Door, narrated by MysticalDescent:
"The scene is set at an unnamed beach. A dishevelled looking man trudges away from a shack with an expression that positively screams of disappointment. He holds in his hand a bag of cash. It would seem that the 'giveaways every full moon!' offer held at the Soul and Skull Shop based in the shack does not come into effect during the daytime.

Between the shop and the sea sit five cats. Perhaps they are giants, towering over both the man and the shop, or perhaps they are normal sized and the man and shop are tiny. At this stage they appear to be quiet, dispassionate and humbly observant. One can only speculate as to why they are there - perhaps some sort of feline council. Different groups seem to be represented; two of the cats are pale grey, two are a darker shade of grey and one is a pale grey with black stripes. One cat even has half of its whiskers missing.

Nobody in this tableau seems satisfied, save perhaps for the very distant seagulls in the sky."

Enty went to where the wild things are:

syg took a detour and took a rest stop in Middle Earth:
"Frodo felt bad, but had to leave the litter of warg kittens at the local "Souls -n- Skulls" convenience store so that he could continue on his journey to Mordor."

Skimba took some time off to take some drawing classes from Allie Brosh:

James did the James and summarised:
"A becaped and disheveled human of indeterminate gender approaches, with no small degree of trepidation, a cat-run skeleton and squid concern. Stage right, a stone giant with the sun for its head looks on from a fort clearly far too small for its intimidating proportions. Disaster awaits."

Heh, it didn't take long for it to turn surreal.

Why were there cats, anyway? Were they intended to be cats?

NT, I don't know what I would have done given that "line". A fine job by all!

It's interesting to me that we went from disheveled to an adjective-free Frodo Baggins and back to disheveled.

Anyway, good stuff.

I thought the animals in Null's picture were cats. Could be demons or goblins or the like, I suppose.

Something about Enty's cats is very ominous.

A large amount of alcohol was involved.
