I don't think I've ever seen a cat that looked like that in person. Very gorgeous.

She really, really, really wants to be a "domestic" shorthair.

This is not my pet. She's someone who just showed up, and I made the mistake of giving her some food. So now she's around almost all the time.

Careful. That's how I got original #4....conniving little...sweethearts.

Ooh, I have one of those too!

We've always left a bowl of cheap food outside for the neighborhood strays to come eat, because most of them are friendly in their own way and we feel bad that they seemingly roam the streets without anyone taking care of them. This guy has been showing up for a few months now and I had almost convinced him to come in the door and live inside.

Up until the pic here he's been staring in the door at us and would let me pet him for a few minutes before deciding he was done and going back to eating again. But a few days ago I spooked him really badly and he bonked his face on the food bowl so now we're back to a grudging respect but not as familiar as we were before. We named him Minstrel because he yodels when the bowl is empty.

also, have a pic of our kitten who didn't want to get up as we were making the bed the other morning:

Cats, you gotta bend to their will. Ain't no way other.

Tiny Hobo was gone for the last couple of days, I figured someone said "Why don't you live inside here?" and she said, "Fine, where's the eats." She's very friendly and actually let me pick her up and rub her neck. Didn't squirm to be put down, and purred loudly during the whole thing.

When I didn't see her, I was glad she found a home.

She showed up tonight, yelling for food.

ARGH

She looooves you.
When Mozart's Sister first showed up, it was for some petting and some food. Then Stripe decided that he really wanted a new girlfriend (he was fixed at this time, btw), so he busted through the screen to go outside to talk to her. Tried this for a few days. A few nights later we came home and there she was waiting for us by the back door...so I scooped her up and brought her inside.

Aww, I didn't pick up on that, I thought it was saying she occupied that spot for that span of time. Sorry for the loss :(

We had to suddenly put my MorganFay to sleep on Monday night. Buried her yesterday. Coping now.

Very sorry to hear that, Skimba. She and Leela are probably playing together right now.
