So I'm pretty sure I've established that there's not a strong Kids in the Hall fandom on this board, but that's not going to stop me from talking about them. :P This weekend, my friends and I drove to Philly to see their Rusty and Ready tour. Then this happened. Then I died. Best weekend EVER!

Clockwise from left: Dave Foley, Scott Thompson, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney. I'm in the pink jacket.

The director of the first-year writing program at my school, essentially my boss, hosts a party every year to welcome the new graduate student teachers. Here's a photo he took and subsequently uploaded to facebook:

It is quite possibly my favorite picture of myself. I guess there is something to be said for candid photos after all.

I'm pretty sure I'm always right. I don't know why I'd ever elect to be wrong.

I concede the point. Had I posed for the photo, I probably wouldn't have looked like a sneaky drunk.

I think you were technically using your phone, though.

I got to be Ziggy Stardust for Halloween. And pet a dog! Good times all round.

It is an eleven-year-old dog who does not like people wearing hats or wigs; Halloween is difficult for him. It took me most of the evening to earn his trust.

I think not altogether terrible for someone who's never applied makeup before. Also someone actually recognized me so that was cool.

I've not seen it, but your makeup looks spot on. Yours also looks great, Mulpis!

Adorable. Although if that's a normal sized bauble in the first pic they must still be pretty small.
