I imagine the majority of stains land on the front-centre of garments, which is the area zip-up overgarments don't cover, unless you zip them up, in which case who the hell cares what's underneath anyway?

Mine seem to be on the sides or stomach area, somehow.

Maybe I get food to my mouth in an awkward, twisting motion.

Why, every so often, do I suddenly feel exhausted and get an incredibly mild headache? It's happened today. Nothing notable has happened, I went to University in the morning, went home, had lunch, went back, felt exhausted, had a lecture, went to play pool, came home again. I'm not low on sleep or anything. I've put this as a blurt not a complaint because I'm not actually complaining. That would be exceptionally whiny. I just wonder why it happens every now and then.

I was putting on chapstick as I read this. It was eerie.

I always get that in the winter because it is exceptionally cold here and that does terrible things to my skin apparently. My hands looks like the surface of a desert: that is to say the skin in cracked, not that my hands are made of sand.

A sort of yellow/brown/orange colour.

Well, yes, that too. And covered in cactuses.

MD, I've felt like that and it turned out it was anemia. I also felt depressed and got short of breath very easily. I was prescribed an Iron + vitamins supplement. Go to your doctor and/or try eating more Iron rich foods (beans! right, Loofs? :D) and se how you feel :)

Also cannonballs. They go pretty well with roasted red peppers and couscous.

I always get this. But this year it has migratedfrom my lips to my hands. I don't know why. My lips are as delicious as ever (they were not a couple of months ag, but who cares), and my palm-skin is peeling and dry and I have no idea what the cause might be. Strange.

Guh. Here too, on both accounts. Well, okay, my skin isn't so bad right now because I've just dealt with it, but still.

Moisturise? Mine start to get that way and then I'm all like, man I should put something on it. And then I do that one time. Until they get really dry again. Repeat.

My hands are dry and need frequent moisturizing, but that might just be because I'm old. :P

Well, fork. Aren't most of us in the northern hemisphere? It is winter....dry heat creates dry skin. :P Deal with your skin.

I will leave that there and I do realize how bitchy that sounds. But, yea....skin is sensitive and gets dry, wah wah wah.

Wow that is bitchy also sounding. Does anyone remember the Vaseline lotion commercials where someone could/would scratch "DRY" onto someones hand? I bleed "DRY" on my hand if that happens.

Bah. The one time I am actually trying to make a veiled reference to something else, and I end up causing this. Gosh. Just for reference: There are no heating systems in place in this city as there usually is in places where it snows, so my particular kind of dry lips is not caused by dry heat. Dry air in general, maybe, but no heat. No heat at all. :|

Have you made sure you aren't turning into a mummy? Last time that happened to me, that was the case.

No, no. Fan, you're fine. Drink more water maybe?
It just struck me (in my ininebriated state last evening) that folks were all "OH NOES! The skin, it is dry! Some magical force makes the skin dry?" Which struck me as "OH NOES! I do this weird breathing thing called breathing! Some magical force makes me breathe?" And I got bitchy about it...and apparently I still am. Oops.

It seems that whenever I see people talking about moisturising, the only thought that comes to mind is the old man in Of Mice and Men merrily shouting 'glove full of vaseline'.

I will now look at getting more iron.

For the record, I have amazing genes and never get dry skin and have never needed to chapstick. I do get a weird rash on my right elbow every once and a while.
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!
