After writing that post the other day, I went through all of the old pictionaries on the wiki - somebody is still using it!

I also love this place then and still. Catass and I have been living together for 7 years, dating for over 8!! I would participate in a tele-pictionthingy.

Anyway. Sunday buses suck don't they? I had to walk from one town to another and the bus didn't up so I had to walk to my house which is in yet another town.

In international-bus-related news, I feel like British and Korean bus drivers should meet up and learn from one another. Each country's bus drivers have glaring gaps in their knowledge. For instance, the British drivers could teach the Koreans how to drive a rickin'-frackin' bus (did you know there's a non-emergency stop now? It's true! You can stop a bus without catapulting all the standing passengers to the front in a heap!). The Koreans could teach the British how to wait for passengers who are clearly trying to get on the bus (if someone is waving at you and running to the stop, don't close the doors and drive off). We can learn so much from other cultures.

Funny customer on Saturday. He leant over the counter and whispered "do you have any condoms" like he trying to ask me for drugs or something. Then after I sold them to him, I happened to say "have a good evening!", then after a beat i went "well, guess you will be if your buying those" and we both laughed.

As for the shop lifter earlier that night.... objectionable person.

At least they happened in that order so the fun exchange could lift your sprits a bit!

Secretly, though, this is what he actually needed them for.

I had a good evening stealing a gravestone. I don't think it will be missed. It was for someone who lived from January to May 1920, plus it had fallen over and covered in dirt and all the letters are faded.

I'm gonna give to my friend for her birthday, 'cause she's really into graveyards.

wow. I mean you're right that it's not likely to be getting any visits, but that seems a bit odd.

All I can find to say about that is that if I'd been there I would have told you not to do it. I guess I'm a spoilsport.

It was super spooky. I got up the nerve to do it after a glass of wine, and I had to walk through the woods behind my apartment in the middle of the night with just my phone as a flashlight.

Yep. I heard twigs breaking, and I'm sure it was an animal but it definitely stopped me in my tracks for a moment.

And by the way, if my friend doesn't like the gift I'll just return the gravestone. I really do think that it would be better appreciated by her than in its original location, though. It was knocked over a few yards from its base and had been that way for months.

I feel remarkably lucid for having 4 and half hours sleep. Wonder how long this will keep up.

I had a bad class today. I have to make my students create online portfolios in a format that they won't be able to keep once they graduate. So, I consider it an unhelpful hoop my students have to jump through, and I've made that clear to them.

Unsurprisingly, they weren't into discussing the example portfolios I had them look at, so class was finished ridiculously early. Plus I had to scold two students for talking to each other. It's a habit with them, but I feel I was a bit too snarky.

Doing poorly as a teacher just makes me feel decidedly unpleasant for the rest of the day, or at least for a while afterwards. Ugh.
