did you actually live through the 80s?

If you don't know where it belongs, it belongs here.

That song is NOT from the 80's.

Although, when the Monkees had their reunion tour, in the 80's, Herman's Hermits DID tour with them.
So, in a round-about way, that song did play a part, although small, in the 80's.
Useless knowledge wins again! I rule!

Regardless of how old one is or isn't, we are all approaching our own deaths, the death of mankind, the death of our planet and the heat death of the universe one terrifying minute at a time.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS.

I worry about it to the same extent as the extent to which I occupy part of the world's existence. Not sure if that was clear but saying it in another way would have been far less snappy.

I just feel a little guilty for all the people who still have to stick around once I'm not there. I'm thinking of taking the world with me, though, so it should probably be ok.

I first laid my hands on a PC back in 1982. It was a friend's TRS-80 and, in his humble opinion, the most badass PC out there. Badder than the IBM PC and certainly badder than that piece of crap Apple ][. We used to make fun of Apple and Steve Jobs because they had written their own Apple DOS which was basically the same as Microsoft DOS, only different enough to be a pain in the ass. They were doooooomed to failure because they didn't go with the industry standard MS-DOS like Radio Shack had done with the TRS-80.

Then came the Lisa and Mac and we realized the PC world had changed. I remember the first time I worked on a Mac back in 1984 or '85. Compared to the command-line crap everything else was using it was so different and so wonderful. Steve Jobs had truly changed the world. The graphic interface you're reading this with right now has Steve Jobs to thank for being what it is today.

Thanks, Steve.
