Yeah. Put 'em here. And discuss them here.

Or don't. Whatever.

In response to draculahunter's prompt (One of the top five smelliest animals), I have two pictures because I thought that the prompt said 'ugliest' instead of 'smelliest'.
Ugliest:
Star-nosed mole. You can't tell me it isn't hideous.
Image

Smelliest:
Striped polecat. Relative of the skunk, but much more hideous stench, although it looks kind of cute.

I'm not too sure.
these things are pretty darn disgusting, too.

The star noses at least look kind of cool.

These I can't tell whether they look freaky or badass.

Nice job with the drawings.

...Well, at least I got the 'mole' part right. I was considering those, but I think that the nose thing is pretty durned ugly. I also thought I might have accidentally offended anyone who watches Nickelodeon. (I don't, but others on this forum might.) :?

EDIT: (Hey, you edited yours...)
I was considering those as well, but I knew it would just turn out looking like an anteater. 8)

I kind of like the star nosed mole, they're cool. What program did you use to make these?

I always use Corel Painter Essentials 2, which is a program that came with my Wacom tablet which I would have otherwise never heard about. It's really awesome, and I use it for all my digital art. It has a gazillion tools and is really easy to use. I've only just been getting interested in it in the past year, although I've had it for nearly 3 years (I got the tablet for my 12th birthday).

My dad let me use his copy of Photoshop, I found it a bit difficult to wrap my brain around. I think I prefer Corel because it's relatively simple and you can do all sorts of nice effects, including lighting and textures with relatively less hassle.

I like them both, but that polecat appears to be the size of a UPS truck.

It's about the size of a cat, and it's meant to be on the very edge of the road, although now that I look at it again, I kind of see your point. I should have made the yellow line a bit thicker, I think.

Oh great, I'd never thought of them looking like that before, and now I'll never think of them looking like anything else.

I changed the background.

I did this instead of working on the comic.

That's really cool, Null. Maybe you should sign up for the Art prompts or make a prompt, cough cough cough.

Maybe that's what my work internet filter thinks they are:

It is. Very much so.
It reminds me, a bit, of the chubablahblah from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Maybe it's the eyes, and that it looks like it has the ability to suck stuff.

Hm... The only similarity to Stitch I see is the colouration and maybe the eyes. The things on the back are wings, not ears.

Alright. I give up. For like, 2 freaking hours this morning, I tried to get a recording of the song. This is a sampling of what I got. I recorded the guitar first, and it seemed fine. Maybe my laptop just can't deal with playing and recording something at the same time. Or maybe it likes my voice about as much as I do. Admittedly, I have a crappy mic, and the laptop is about 2 years old. But still... harumph.

Well, here are the lyrics, anyway. For those of you who are not inflicted with "country music", it's patterned off the (clever the first time, but completely overdone at this point, here's an example) idea that the chorus talks about something on earth, but it's a metaphor for heaven. Except it's backwards.

The Other Side

I look all around at our little place,
plenty of food for the rotifer race
We dine on algae and bacteria here

We've had wonderful times, you and I,
plentiful food and open sky
Had beautiful babies and more are on their way

In the treatment plant, it's not an easy life,
It's crowded and smelly, and full of strife
Someday we'll go to the other side,
But for now, let's glide

This mornin' I woke, and you were gone,
Don't know what happened, so I asked John,
He said he saw you go to the other side

Frank said he saw you with another girl,
He said her mouth had a heck of a whirl
It's hard to believe you would leave, but there it is...

In the treatment plant, it's not an easy life,
It's crowded and smelly, and full of strife
Someday I'll go to the other side,
But for now, I'll just glide

On the other side I've heard it's beautiful there,
I've been told there's less smelly air
I don't know where you gone, and I don't know why

Yesterday, I thought you loved me,
We were happy, surrounded by poo and pee
But maybe I was wrong all this time...

I decided today I can't take it no more,
I threw myself near that hole
I thought I was going to the big pond in the sky

When I came around, I said a little prayer,
I saw you all alone, eating there
You looked at me, and I knew you'd never strayed

In the treatment plant, it's not an easy life,
It's crowded and smelly, and full of strife
Someday our babies will come to the other side,
then together we'll all glide

Those are beautiful lyrics.

And the snippet of song was quite good, scratches and all--you have a lovely voice. It'd be nice to hear the whole thing.
