My mom's employee said his "IN TRAINING" bandanna looked like a cape today.


He has a big giant bone and he loves to carry it around even though it sometimes makes him fall forward.

Hi! It was my boyfriend's birthday not too long ago, so I painted him this:

I didn't have as much time to spend on it as I'd've (can I use that many apostrophes in a word???) liked, hence the really crappy background and shaky improvised lettering. Still, I thought it was fun!

Do you paint with oils?

Yeah, I've never been good with acrylics.

A friend of mine is going to show me how to use oils when I have my craft room set up. Any tips? It looks like so much fun! You can blend!

I don't have any tips on technique--that's much easier to pick up in one-on-one with an instructor, or through observation. I would advise you to have several canvases going at the same time, though. Since oil takes a long time to dry, this can help alleviate the impatience that arises, since you can work on another picture while the first one dries.
