It won't arrive until next week, and I'll be in NY visiting family, and when I come back, there's the state fair, not to mention a day of installing all my usual goodies on the new compy.
I figure it's safe to say this thing is on hiatus until the end of the month, possibly labor day.
In the meantime, I want to catch up with some of the alt-text on the strips, as many are still missing descriptions.
A semi-planned hiatus gives me a chance to work on other elements of the strip. I suck at backgrounds, and have avoided them almost entirely. As a result, I still suck at backgrounds.

From what I remember, she wasn't technically human anyway?
I dunno, I was 5 when I saw ST:TMP, and much of that movie shot over my head; that was the only line I remember from her.
It was fun to draw, but a little too close to the original "Mia" circa 1996. I still call her Squigs because her hair looked like squiggles.

Very nice design, though it presupposes that the audience knows the characters and situation already. Which emphasizes the need for a FAQ.
