Inspiration wanted

Postby Clueless » Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:13 pm

I've finally got time over to draw stuff!

The problem is, I seem to have forgotten how to get ideas for what to draw. I sit and stare at the empty paper in front of me, pen in hand, and my mind goes blank. Or, y'know, stare at the empty computer screen, stylus pen in hand...

I'd like to ask you all to tell me to draw stuff. I figure that if I manage to get into drawing again, the inspiration will come back on its own, so suggest pretty much whatever and I'll do my best to illustrate it.

I know there's been a thread like this before by someone else, but I didn't feel like resurrecting an old thread for the sole purpose of hijacking it.

Draw a depiction of the final battle between Arthur and Mordred, as described in Le Morte d'Arthur, in Pre-Raphaelite style.

Resurrect Generic Office Dude 3 - Telephone Pictionary: The Orange Box. The last drawing was added by Blasphemy a bit before you joined, but there were still plenty of "commands" in the pipeline.

Of course I think it died off because we had kind of plotted ourselves into a corner, but maybe a new perspective can give it some life.

B-but that would mean I have to choose one...
Allright, I think I know how to do this, in a way that's almost a cop-out...

Judas Maccabeus wrote:Draw a depiction of the final battle between Arthur and Mordred, as described in Le Morte d'Arthur, in Pre-Raphaelite style.

I'll try, if you provide me with the manuscript. in modern English, would be preferred.

I'm afraid it died due to me running out of ideas. I can certainly try, but coming up with something might take a while.

Since I couldn't find one spamusement to call my absolute favourite (I mean, there's too many of them to choose one worthy of a tribute!), I sort of drew a tribute to my favourite recurring characters instead... Close enough, right?

I was going to include Cabinet Sanchez, Premature Ejaculation, The lewd butcher, cybernetic Vernon, Uggs and Viagra as well, but I couldn't find a way to put them in without it looking much too cramped.

I vote for a further group picture featuring those characters. I want this mainly because one of them is mine and it will feed my ego.

How about they are in combat with PE, swarmin' all over him Shadow Of The Colossus-style.

I was joking, but if you honestly want to: Le Morte d'Arthur, Vol. II, Book XXI, Chapter IV (yeah, it's kind of a long book. :P ).

I was also sort of half-joking, but now I've managed to find a suitable passage and done a preliminary sketch. It might take a while, but the result will (hopefully) be awesome.

I managed to miss the "Pre-Raphaelite" part when I read your post, so I just drew it in a style I saw fit.

I've managed to find a suitable command, and will begin drawing in a few minutes. need to take a short break after working on the king Arthur pic.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I gotta say I particularly like the robot eating the forums. I should find a way to incorporate it into the header.

UPDATE: The two people using the "Milky Way" style just got a special treat.
