Alternate cover art contest!

Found a book. An awesome book. A book I would totally put on my shelf to make people uncomfortable. A book that may describe the genesis of one of our most cherished pejoratives.

The cover art lacks the flamboyancy that one might associate with pirates. Or a kind of pirates, anyway. ... the best kind of pirates. Hmmm...

Oh sorry, got lost in my own thoughts. Anyway, I totally want to see some alternate cover art. I'd be willing to put up the dough to buy the book as a prize for whoever has in my opinion the best alternate cover, so that you too can put the book on your shelf and make people uncomfortable. Sorry, the prize book wouldn't have the alternate cover art!

• Entries should be roughly the aspect ratio of a book. Y'know, A4ish or Letterish, not crazy.
• The cover art should, y'know, contain the title.

To be honest, I must confess my blasphemous lack of any real interest in pirates. Otherwise I might've done something.

There are some nice images in a Pictionary contest started by JVCC, but they are generally monkey (or monkie) pirates so that might be less suitable.
