For some reason, I'm marginally better at the non-human face, why that is I have no idea. Just thought I'd show the method to my madness, anything you see by me that gets to the full color and detail stage started out like this.
The significance as to why I'm posting is that this one's final version actually got me approached for commission work on another art site, that's never happened before, so I guess that means I'm getting better or at least more polished

Oh, and that big
lump of crud in the
corner was a very large
lint wad that somehow
got into the scanner
when I shut the lid.
