Don't mistake me for a fan, but isn't that that one chick from Darkstalkers? I only remember because I played the SNES game and once watched an episode.

Very funny, because they didn't have any SNES games. Nintendo's policy would probably be way too liberal for it anyway due to the excessive boobage.

er, uh sorry. PlayStation, I meant. I thought "SNES" because it was a 2-D fighter and i'm listening to a bunch of 8-bit music.

Also, I think you mean "way too conservative".

Double kill word mix!

Well considering the PSX was originally a SNES cd extension and both use Sony hardware, I understand that.

I played the original Darkstalkers, and aside from some interesting attacks (Anakaris' ability to turn other fighters into something useless that relates to their character comes to mind), it was essentially a Street Fighter knock-off for furries.

You're confusing it with Brutal, Bloody Roar and Primal Rage.

Yes, and we all see how many cosplayers dress like characters from those games. And Bloody Roar is 3D. I'm talking about 2D fighters. That leaves one horribly obscure game and one absolutely terrible, yet, somehow moderately popular at its time, game about apes and dinosaurs. Face it, Darkstalkers is for furry fetishists and horny, desperate men.

I'm not sure most of the Darkstalkers characters technically count as furry. And Bloody Roar is a) 3D & b) Very different from Street Fighter. I also used to have this nice Bulleta skin for Quake 3. She's awesome.

I played Primal Rage a little. Dinosaurs are so cool.
I love this post so much I'm going to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!

Lizardman, wolfman, catwoman, batwoman, bee woman, and the rest with the exception of the samurai demon, the zombie, Frankenstein, and Anakaris are all pretty much fodder for the horny gamer.

Fishman, technically. The catgirl is more nekomimi than furre. The batwomais supposed to be a succubus, and similar. The beewoman... is borderline. And I'm disturbed by anyone who finds Sasquatch attractive. You also forgot Huitzil/Pyron, Phobos, Dmtiri, Jedah, Bulleta, Lilith, Donovan, Anita, and Lei-Lie/Hsien-Ko. Most of those come after the first game... but so does the bee.

Huitzil/Phobos: Robot.

Pyron: Fire alien

Dmitri: Vampire male

Jedah: Alternative vampire male.

Bulleta: Psychotic, greedy loli bounty huntress who alternates randomly between a little-girly voice and a deep, gruff, masculine one.

Lilith: Loli "batwoman"

Anita: Little girl

Donovan: Half-vampire.

Lei-Lei: Ghost modelled on pop-culture potrayal of the "hopping vampire."

I said "the rest". I know there are more. And I'm not speaking technically, here. I know what the characters are, I just don't really care. Fact is, they are anthropomorphic creatures. And people who play games like Darkstalkers tend to find anthropomorphic creatures madly arousing. Morrigan is the main character (or at least, they'd make you believe that), and she's by far the most ridiculous female character in videogame history. This is including Lara Croft. Anyway, I won't ruin this thread just to discuss a mediocre series. As you were.

Totally inexplicable Japanese phenomenon: The tendency to put bat wings on the sides of the heads of succubi and female vampires. I've never quite figured out where or why it originated.

I really like the barbed wire tree, Bink. Although (to me anyway) the skull seems out of place.

Speaking of barbed wire trees, an arty friend of mine once made a crucifix in which the Jesus was made of nails. True story.

OK, so that wasn't so much about barbed wire trees. That's what it reminded me of, though.
