(I know the tune, but seriously don't know what it's from)

Edit: Why is it telling me there's a new post on this thread, when the most recent poster was myself?

Well, I'll be darned. Bagel Bites. I never saw that commerical, and only got the tune from my Mom (who parodied it somehow years ago, I don't remember how), and didn't think the real tune was like that. I used to love Bagel Bites, though I haven't had them in years. I even named my favorite hamster when I was little Bagel H. Bite.

Incidentally, that commerical for Bagel Bites kind of reminds me of that other commercial for Gopher Cakes. (I remember when I first saw that commercial when I was little, I was disappointed Gopher Cakes weren't real.)

I remember the gopher cakes commercial, but not the tune that went along with it.

Well, that's what YouTube is for.

(Not stupid slideshows or people singing about how much they love Ron Paul.)

You are correct sir(s).
And I verilly much like this comic although this thread has made me have that DAMN BAGEL BITES COMMERCIAL RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD FOR THREE, YES THREE, DAYS NOW! AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

The actual tune is based off of an older song Sugartime.

Well, all this talk reminded me how much I loved Bagel Bites, and how I haven't eaten them in years. So I bought some.

Today it suddenly started raining, and the dining hall closer to me closes on the weekends, so I figured now would be a good time to try it out. Trouble is, my dorm's kitchen is VASTLY under stocked. They didn't have baking pans, so I had to use a plate. They didn't have oven mitts, so I had to use paper towels (almost burnt my fingers). They didn't have washing cloths, so I had to use paper towels. They didn't have much soap, so I just had to scrub really hard to get a burnt-on spot off. With a paper towel. Then, they didn't have a drying rack or towel, but I was out of paper towels, so I left the plates on the counter to dry (not mine anyway, so I don't care if anyone steals them). Reminds me why I only make my own dinner once in a blue moon.

All in all, it did turn out very well. The oven was a bit weird, and it took about a half-hour before it finally pre-heated (I got impatient and put them in early. About 3 minutes later it said it was done preheating), but they cooked well, and the oven-baked ones were delicious. They didn't all fit on the plate, so I tried the spare one in the microwave, and that wasn't so great.

Ah, delicious Bagel Bites. And to think, the only things I could get if I'd gone to the dining hall would be French Toast, French Toast Sticks, Potato Pancakes, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Home Fries, Sausage Patty, Hard Boiled Eggs, Omelets, Mixed Grains with Fresh Vegetables, oatmeal, waffles, pudding, cereal, cantaloupe, honeydew, donuts, pastries, breakfast pizza, and/or bagels! (SUNY Brockport was rated #1 in dining services in the SUNY schools for a good reason)

Interesting point:

Pizza dough = yeast, water, flour, oil, sugar, and salt
Bagel dough = yeast, water, flour, oil, sugar, and salt and then dunked in lye.
