I dunno. "In-comic" time is rather fluid, so really there's no telling how much time has passed. In fact, I'd imagine it's been maybe a month since they visited the Oracle?

But the Oracle had apparently told Roy about Belkar's demise before the attack on Azure city. If you look back to the comic after the Oracle starts talking to Roy's spirit, he says "It's what I told you last time you were here. You just don't remember it."

Times are getting harder and harder for the Order. I have a feeling that each and every one of them is going to personally get a big heaping pile of poopcakes before they manage to get back together.

Well dang, this isn't going to get good any time soon. Been a long time without an Elan update, either.

Meh. These jokes are really terrible, and the story is getting slow. I'm thinking about not reading it again for a while, and just picking up when it does.

It might pick up a bit now they're (mostly) back together. Has it really been an IRL year since they split up?

I think the slow pace hasn't been helped by him being unable to do regular updates.

uh-oh, the whole team is about to be reunited one more time in the next comic! (maybe) any takers that they got the wrong skeleton and will actually raise someone other than roy?

It only took a third of the overall strips to do it.

well, the current story arc needs to end soon after all. what better time to bring the main character back from the dead?

I recently found out that despite it being a bit slow and turgid if you watch it comic by comic because of the sporadic updates, if you go back a fair few strips and then read all the way through, it makes for good reading.

today's strip is one of the best single strips ever in the history of this comic

Why?

As a single strip, I didn't get any of that.

are you a regular follower of the comic? it makes much more sense when you know the masked general is elan's father. add to that all the innuendo and the character history between elan and roy and it's comic gold :)

Ok, I interpreted single comic as an indication it was a stand-alone. Now, when I looked at it I certainly didn't continue in that belief, but thought I should at least ask in case there was some pop-culture reference I was missing or something.

here's a stand alone strip that doesn't require any character history if you like innuendos :P

so, rich burlew (the comic's author) has started a kickstarter drive in order to reprint his books that have sold out since they were released. it started out to reprint one single book and has turned into one of the top ten grossing kickstarter drives THROUGH TIME, er OF ALL TIME in only 10 days!

I was amazed quite how much money he's raised. I thought that the original target was a bit optimistic, so $394,000 is astonishing.

Just looking back through this thread, is it really so long since this plot arc started?
