This is really interesting and I am surprised I hadn't heard of it before... a 16 year old infant, basically. I wonder how long she will live for, and what are the extent of her cognitive abilities? The article does not delve into it much, other than mentioning that she cannot talk and she is essentially a perma-infant... it is hard to gauge what is going on in a person's mind without the ability to communicate with them.

It's extremely rare for children with similar kinds of abnormalities to live that long. Must be heart-breaking for her parents.
