So I was replaying Portal 2, and I was in one of the early chambers, before GladOS awakened. There were three buttons, one of which would release a cube when pressed, another of which would cause a panel to pivot upward, and the last of which would hold the exit open as long as it was held down. At some point, I hit the panel button, then the cube button, and then noticed that the panel button was resetting too soon. I pressed the panel button again, and it came up at just the right time to deflect the cube up to where I was, and even touched the door button enough to activate the automated congratulatory recording. (Not enough to hold the door open; I still had to pick it up and put it on the button for that. I just didn't have to go down for it.)
In other news, I've been watching YouTube videos on a pair of channels called Outside Xbox (outsidexbox) and Outside Xtra. A lot of the videos are like "7 Creepiest Things You'd Throw Away If They Weren't So Mission Critical" or "7 Terrible Hiding Places You Somehow Got Away With". There's also, often enough, a Commenter Edition that comes out later, in which they present as list items things which commenters remind them fit into the original theme. They're generally good about warning about spoilers after introducing the theme, even if the theme means the very list of games is somewhat spoilery. There are also playthroughs, quizzes for the hosts, and other things.
A lot of the videos are years old, though, so if you're just learning about it, you've got years of videos to look through.
